On November 17, 2017 the primary workers compensation insurance carrier for Southeast Personnel Leasing Inc - Lion Insurance Company received a rating upgrade from A- ("stable") to A ("positive") from A.M. Best. According to the upgrade notice:The rating upgrades reflect Lion’s balance sheet assessment, which is categorized as strongest by A.M. Best, with its surplus increasing in each of the past 10 years, strength of reserves, and conservative investment portfolio. The ratings also reflect the company’s strong operating performance, with little volatility, on a 5 and 10-year basis, as well as an appropriate enterprise risk management program, to support these results.
Only businesses who have registered with StaffMarket and engaged one of our member PEOs are invited to submit their ratings and comments. No trolls or bogus self promotion is allowed and all reviews have been verbally confirmed with our staff.
Haven't really used Health Insurance or HR. We are a new company, and they we are probably difficult to deal with compared with someone who is already set up and going. We are very grateful that they were able to give us an option for payroll.
My only complaint is that one of my staff applied for automatic deposit back in February 2015, and they still have not started this process to date after 2 requests to have it done.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED WITH SPLI SEVERAL YEARS AGO IT WAS CONVENIENT FOR ME BECAUSE THEY WOULD CALL ME FOR THE PAYROLL, BUT NOW THEY GET IRRITATED WHEN THEY CALL AND INSIST THAT I CALL THEM OR I MAY NOT GET MY PAYROLL. I WAS ALWAYS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT WAS THEIR JOB. MY PAYROLL GETS CALLED IN ON A WEDNESDAY AND ITS JUST SOMETHING THAT SLIPS MY MIND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
I RECEIVED A CERTIFIED LETTER FROM SOUTHEAST YESTERDAY INFORMING US THAT THEY ARE DROPPING OUR CONTRACT EFFECTIVE 4/27/2007. NO EXPLANATION WAS PROVIDED AND MY CALL TO THEM PRODUCED COMMENTS LIKE "I HAVE NO IDEA WHY YOU WERE DROPPED, I WILL NEED TO CHECK WITH THE OWNER". WE NEVER HAD A WORKERS COMP CLAIM, NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT, ETC., IN THE SEVERAL YEARS THAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING TOGETHER. I AM TRULY PUZZLED BY THE TERMINATION AND REQUESTED A REVIEW. CAN YOU HELP WITH THIS?
I FEEL THAT AS PART OF YOUR NETWORK THAT I SHOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR HEALTH INSURANCE WITHOUT HAVING TO HAVE MORE EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATING, AND NOT JUST A MINI MED. BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WANTS INSURANCE, I CANT HAVE IT EITHER.
I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT THIS OPTION SOONER.
THE PAYROLL IS OK. WE ALWAYS RUN INTO ISSUES GETTING INFORMATION REGARDING PR AUDITS AND PAPERWORK IE: W-2S, 941S, ETC. THESE FORMS ARE FOR OUR LIABILITY AUDITS AND THIS INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT. AS OF TODAY APRIL 5, 2006 - I AM STILL WAITING FOR INFORMATION.......
I THOUGHT I HAD TO CALL OR FAX THEM MY EMPLOYEES HOURS BUT INSTEAD SOMEONE CALLS ME FOR THEIR HOURS EVERY MONDAY. I GET SO TIED UP JUST KEEPING WORK GOING THAT I EASILY COULD FORGET TO CALL THEM SO THIS IS GREAT! THANKS TO YOU AND THEM.

WE ARE NOT USING THE HR SERVICES OR HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE DIRECT DEPOSIT OFFERED AS AN OPTION SO I AM NOT STUCK IN THE OFFICE ON PAYDAYS.
