This is a consulting company that has been around for over 20 years and has an 87% success rates. They have a 3 year contract for their services. The plan is to provide higher margin health care workers and will require the ability to offer a quality benefit package in order to competitively recruit. Company is a dental office that is interested in shedding the employee admin, and offering a benefits package in order to attract employees. Your contact is working on behalf of ownership. She has owned dental practices in the past, and has used Professional Employer Organization's.


7 Employee Company

This company is based in MI but installs large rack and shelving systems in large box stores and warehouses around the county. They recently had a W/C claims due to an employee failing to hook up his harness, and their current carrier is dropping them. They are now looking for alternative coverage, hopefully nationwide. Their current policy does not cover NY and CA, so if a Professional Employer Organization can not cover those states, they could live with that, but would prefer coverage in all lower 48. They expect growth and would eventually like to offer at least minimal health care coverage. A copy of their current W/C Dec page, LRs, Letter explaining claims, ACORD and spreadsheet showing historical payroll totals are all attached to this RFP. 16 Employee Company

This is a European based provider of HR services around the country that needs a Professional Employer Organization for their own internal US staff. They are starting with one EE but plan to add several more. No benefits are needed at this time. I would assume the proper W/C code for these employees would be 8810 or 8742.


1 Employee Company

Company is a full service mortuary shipping company. They want to move two of their independent contractors to w-2 employees.


3 Employee Company

This company is a MI based government contractor that is looking for a Professional Employer Organization that can advise them on compliance issues associated with the Services Contract Act.


36 Employee Company

Company provides non medical in home senior care. They want to see how a Professional Employer Organization can help them with electronic on-boarding and training. They also want to see what you offer in terms of employee paid supplemental benefits. Payroll is currently done in house with Quickbooks.


82 Employee Company

This company is a small trucking company that has been utilizing the same Professional Employer Organization for the past 15 years, however service has been declining with new ownership and they are now wanting to make a change. The do operate flatbeds on MI based routes typically under 150 radius. All drivers go home in the evenings. They currently provide a Priority Health health care plan in which they pay 50% of EE only. They pay 100% for dental, vision and LTD. A census, LRs, recent Professional Employer Organization invoice and payroll report and current plan coverage documentation is attached to this RFP. Company is a real estate development/residential builder. All "staff" are independent contractors at this time. They have a few new people that we would like to hire, but they do not want to be the employer. Your contact is the CPA.

Company is a manufacturer of performance engine components. They are interested in how a Professional Employer Organization can help with more competitive health insurance and workers comp. Please note that the ExpMod column on the payroll report incorrectly shows .81.


91 Employee Company

Company develops and licenses online employment application specifically for the transportation industry. Launching this month with 65 client companies on board.


8 Employee Company

This company is a 3PL HQd in MI, but has multiple facilities around N. America. They currently utilize a Professional Employer Organization to admin their Canada facility. They are bidding on a new contract in the Long Beach area of CA, and due to the complexities of HR in CA, they are contemplating using a Professional Employer Organization for it's HR admin. So this RFP is only for this new CA opperation. They are only looking for high level, estimated quotes at this point, and would need your quote by this coming Friday so that they can build it into their cost model for their proposal to their new company. I have requested LRs, but that is the only underwriting docs I have request.


32 Employee Company

This company is a new commercial janitorial company with current contracts in MI and IN, but plans to move into other states as well. Their primary issue is obtaining W/C coverage so that they can begin operations. A secondary contact is Ron Smith. They just notified me that they just picked up a new contract in NY that will add about $30,000/month in payroll


13 Employee Company

This company is a contracted property management group that is bringing on 2 EEs to act primarily as project manager, or what the contact person calls general trades. They will sub out all the actual work but these two EEs will act as supervisors. They have no prior W/C coverage due to being less than threshold.


2 Employee Company

Company is a start up R & D engineering company for automotive electronics designs. Staffing plan is to hire 10 people in 2016 starting Oct 1, adding 20 in 2017, and adding 20 in 2018 to reach 50 people.


5 Employee Company

This company is an LLC that has existed for a couple years, but is just now starting to operate and begin payroll. They are a residential remodeling firm; bathrooms, kitchens, window installation, siding etc. The contact has utilized a Professional Employer Organization in the past with a previous operation in FL, so he understands the model. He expects to be up to 5 EEs fairly quickly. The W/Comp codes the company selected and displaying in this RFP are obviously not correct for MI. A W/C claims history affidavit has been requested.

Company provides landscaping design, maintenance and also snow removal. They are with a Professional Employer Organization now, but that Professional Employer Organization says they are getting out of the business. Loss runs and payroll reports are attached.

Your contact has used a Professional Employer Organization in the past, so they are familiar with the relationship.
