This company is a marketing consulting firm that specializes in health care providers. They currently utilize a UT based Professional Employer Organization that provides them with group health care coverage from EMI, but their network does not include coverage at University of Utah Hospital, so they are now evaluating new Professional Employer Organizations with a carrier that has coverage at that hospital group.

This company is based in UT and currently utilizes a local Professional Employer Organization. However, they are now acquiring a new operation in CA and their current Professional Employer Organization can't provide service is CA so they are now shopping for a new Professional Employer Organization. The company develops technologies for airline cabin management and in flight entertainment systems. At this point, I am requesting underwriting documentation covering their UT based EEs and operations but they will not be able to furnish details on their soon to be new EEs in CA on the a census. I have however request a break down of their estimated CA EEs and total gross payroll by W/Comp codes and the census will provide that breakdown for their UT group. The contact is actually based in Australia and the number listed on this RFP is an Australian number, so my suggestion would be to introduce yourself by email and work to schedule your initial phone conversation.


50 Employee Company

Company is opening a new company that develops augmented reality software for various industries. All of the employees will be in Utah, except for one principal/owner that will be in Ohio.

This company provides waterproofing, sump pump system installation and repairs and general crawl space repairs. They have been told by other business owners the benefits of utilizing a Professional Employer Organization so they are interested in receiving quotes. They specifically mentioned the possibility of reducing W/C costs and adding a group health care plan. They do not currently offer any health care coverage but they do want to add it. LRs, current W/C dec, census, payroll report and SUTA rate have all been requested and will be forwarded on to you once received.

Company has purchased an established hot rod/auto repair business. They are initially interested in just payroll and workers comp, but will want to look at benefits in the future.

Due to sales commissions, the contact would prefer a flat rate admin fee. A large group medical plan is preferred along with a robust benefits comp plan. The contact discussed that the HR support he will receive is critical to his decision. He also mentioned that he'd like a Professional Employer Organization that would onboard new EEs via Skype or similar tech.
