Virginia Businesses Reviewing Their PEO Options.

Since 1999 StaffMarket has assisted nearly 20,000 business owners and company executives identify and compare the best PEO alternatives for their companies. Every company considering joining a PEO is unique in their needs and expectations. At the same time, every PEO has their own unique acceptance criteria and only allows companies to join their PEO if the client company meets their requirements for:

  • Preferred business type.
  • Workers' compensation insurance.
  • Company size.
  • Average wage.
  • Virginia and out of state business locations.

For businesses seeking access to group health insurance for their Virginia employees, PEOs may offer a program that helps their customers meet ACA requirements and provides cost advantages over other standard market health insurance alternatives. Once again, every PEO varies in their ability to offer access to Virginia health insurance plans for their client companies.

In Virginia, StaffMarket has helped hundreds of companies quickly identify and assess their best options for joining a PEO. Companies large and small have used StaffMarket to get industry insight and competitive proposals from Professional Employer Organizations operating in Virginia.

We are a Native American Tribally-Owned company primarily operating in the Federal contracting market. We currently work in the construction industry, but will be expanding into IT services soon. We also have a self-performing mechanical division and also sometime self-performs carpentry and finish trades. For the trade worker employees, they have a base rate and different rates on Federal projects dictated by Davis-Bacon Wage Act wage determinations. We also work in multiple states (VA, MD, DC, WI, MN), but plan to work nationally. We have employees spread-out in the states we work and will continue to expand into more states. They currently utilize a Professional Employer Organization, and I will tell you their name in a separate email, but they are having services issues with them. Their primary issues are that they don't like their Professional Employer Organization's Time Sheet, time triacking system, they can't properly track PTO and they don't like their Payroll User Interface. The census is password protected so please request the password from me.
